Webster
defines the word persistence as "The act of persisting.....to go
on resolutely or stubbornly in spite of opposition, importunity, or warning."
If one were to look it up in the Big Bend Bass dictionary however, your liable
to see the picture to the right. Big Bend Bass is proud to present the 2005
Bass Man of the Year, Heath Annin.
Heath has been a member of Big Bend Bass since
1993 when he started as a non boater. Since that time he has consistently been
near the top of the heap at the end of the year, fishing the club classic as one
of the top six anglers every year but one. Setting the standard in Big
Bend Bass as far as angling skills go, he was the first person in the club to
earn his way on to multiple Federation State Teams, participating in Federation
divisional tournaments in 2000, 2002 and 2004, and has been successful in
tournaments at many levels.
Heath has also been very involved in a leadership
role, currently serving his second term as Club President as well as taking on
the role as a member of the Florida Bass Federation Board of Directors since
2000. Nobody has been more dedicated to Big Bend Bass and the Florida
Federation.
Still, in spite of all his dedication and
accomplishments one thing has eluded Heath over the years... Until this one...
